Termos de utilização

Este conteúdo está disponível apenas em inglês. - Data de publicação: 2026-04-04

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using btcpuzzle.info. By registering an account or using any part of the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. About the Platform

btcpuzzle.info is an independently operated, open-source Bitcoin puzzle mining pool. The platform coordinates distributed scanning of Bitcoin private key ranges in pursuit of solving publicly known Bitcoin puzzles. It is a hobby project, not a commercial entity, and is provided to the community on a best-effort basis.

The platform's client software is open source and publicly available at https://github.com/ilkerccom/btcpuzzle. Anyone can inspect the source code to understand how work is distributed, how ranges are allocated, and how the client operates.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are legally permitted to use such a service in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use of this platform complies with the laws of your country of residence.

3. Solo Pool — Reward Structure

btcpuzzle.info operates as a solo pool. This is a fundamental characteristic of the platform that all users must understand before participating.

In a solo pool, if a participant's worker finds the solution to a Bitcoin puzzle — that is, discovers the private key corresponding to a puzzle address — the entire reward associated with that puzzle belongs exclusively to that participant. The reward is not shared among other pool members.

Other participants in the pool contribute to coordinating range coverage and preventing duplicate work, but they have no claim to a reward found by another user's worker. By joining the pool, you acknowledge and accept this reward structure.

4. Range Allocation & Shared Coverage

The pool operates on a range-based scanning system. The total private key space is divided into ranges, and the pool coordinates which ranges have been scanned to ensure no two workers duplicate effort across the same range.

All scanned ranges are shared pool-wide. When a range is assigned to and completed by one worker, it is marked as covered and will not be reassigned to another worker. This shared coverage system is a core feature of the pool — it maximizes collective efficiency and ensures the search space is explored without redundancy.

A single range contains an extraordinarily large number of individual keys. The scale of the Bitcoin private key space is vast by design, and participants should have realistic expectations about the probabilistic nature of this search.

The platform does not guarantee that any specific range will yield a result, nor does it make any representations about the likelihood or timing of finding a puzzle solution.

5. Key Security & Found Key Responsibility

btcpuzzle.info is designed with privacy and security in mind. The platform cannot see, access, or recover any private key discovered by a worker — not under any circumstances. The client software processes key scanning locally on the user's hardware and reports only non-sensitive work progress data to the pool server. No private key material is ever transmitted to the platform.

If you choose to use a public key (RSA or Bitcoin public key) as your security configuration within the client, the platform uses only the public key for coordination purposes. Public keys are mathematically one-directional — the platform has no ability to derive or decrypt the corresponding private key from a public key.

If your worker discovers a puzzle solution, the security of that found key is entirely your responsibility. You are strongly advised to:

Configure your client with a public key so that any found key result is encrypted and only readable by you. Transfer any found funds immediately to a secure wallet that you control. Review the security features available in the open-source client at https://github.com/ilkerccom/btcpuzzle before connecting workers to the pool.

btcpuzzle.info accepts no liability for any found key that is lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised due to inadequate security measures on the user's part.

6. Anonymity & Free Access

btcpuzzle.info is anonymous by design. No email address, real name, or identity document is required to register or use the platform. An account requires only a username and password.

Basic use of the pool — connecting workers, scanning ranges, and monitoring progress — is free of charge with no time limit.

However, once a puzzle's scan coverage reaches a certain threshold percentage, an entry fee is required to continue participating in the pool for that puzzle. This mechanism exists to maintain fairness: as the probability of finding the solution increases with higher coverage, a fee ensures that late-stage participants contribute to the pool's sustainability and rewards the most active contributors.

The entry fee threshold and amount are displayed clearly on the platform at the time they become applicable. The Seller reserves the right to adjust these parameters over time.

7. Entry Fee Distribution

Fifty percent (50%) of all entry fees collected for a given puzzle are distributed among the pool's most active scanning contributors for that puzzle. Distribution is proportional to scanning contribution and is calculated based on verifiable work submitted to the pool.

The remaining fifty percent (50%) is retained by the platform to cover infrastructure costs, development, and continued operation of the service.

Distribution details, eligibility criteria, and payout timing are published on the platform. The platform reserves the right to adjust the distribution formula in the future; any changes will be announced in advance and will not apply retroactively to fees already collected.

8. Account Registration & Security

To use the pool, you must create an account with a username and password of your choice. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

There is no password reset via email, as the platform does not collect email addresses. Instead, at the time of registration, you are provided with a 12-word recovery phrase (mnemonic). This phrase can be used to recover access to your account if you forget your password.

You are strongly advised to store your 12-word recovery phrase in a safe and private location immediately upon registration. If you lose both your password and your recovery phrase, account recovery may not be possible.

In some cases, btcpuzzle.info may be able to assist with account recovery through alternative verification methods. However, this is not guaranteed. The platform's ability to assist depends on the information available and the circumstances of the request. Please contact support if you find yourself in this situation.

You must not share your account credentials with others, use another person's account, or attempt to access accounts that do not belong to you.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the platform for any of the following:

Submitting false, fabricated, or manipulated work results to the pool. Attempting to claim or interfere with ranges legitimately assigned to other workers. Running automated scripts or bots against the platform's web interface in a manner that disrupts service for other users. Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, the platform's servers, or any connected infrastructure. Using the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction. Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities in the platform rather than reporting them responsibly to support.

The platform reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban accounts found to be in violation of these conduct standards, with or without prior notice, at its sole discretion.

10. Availability & Uptime

btcpuzzle.info is provided on a best-effort basis. As a hobby-operated platform, we do not offer guaranteed uptime or service level agreements. Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance may occur at any time.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate planned downtime in advance and to restore service as quickly as possible in the event of an outage. The platform is not liable for losses, missed scanning time, or other consequences arising from service interruptions.

11. Third-Party Infrastructure

Some platform features — including CloudSearch — rely on third-party GPU compute providers. The availability, performance, and pricing of these providers are outside the platform's direct control. The platform makes no guarantees regarding the uptime or compute capacity of third-party infrastructure used on behalf of users.

12. Intellectual Property

The btcpuzzle.info platform, its web interface, branding, and proprietary systems are the intellectual property of the platform operator. The open-source client software is made available under its respective open-source license as published on the GitHub repository.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform's proprietary interface or systems without prior written permission.

13. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any puzzle will be solved within any given timeframe.

Participation in Bitcoin puzzle hunting involves significant uncertainty. The probability of any individual worker or pool finding a puzzle solution depends on many factors outside the platform's control, including the size of the remaining key space, the computational power of all participants globally, and random chance. Nothing on this platform constitutes investment advice or a promise of financial return.

Cryptocurrency values fluctuate. Any reward associated with a found puzzle is denominated in Bitcoin, and its fiat equivalent at the time of discovery may differ substantially from current valuations. The platform is not responsible for any financial outcomes related to puzzle participation.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, btcpuzzle.info and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, including but not limited to lost scanning time, missed rewards, lost or compromised private keys, or reliance on any information provided by the platform.

The platform's total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to the platform in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and display a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you do not agree with updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the platform. You may also request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with generally accepted principles of international commercial law. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

17. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected] or through the support interface on the platform.
